AI-ESC and Panel Discussion

The Responsible Digital Society research network is organizing an “AI ESC” featuring AI-generated music, to highlight the possibilities and limitations of current AI models.

15 randomly selected contestants will present their Eurovision style song generated for an adopted ESC particpating country. At the Grand Finale on May 12, the winning song will be chosen in an audience vote in the Aula of the Kollegienhaus of the University of Basel. 

Following on from the competition, an expert panel will discuss the oportunities and risks of AI for the music industry.

Doors open at 16:30. Bags must be deposited at the (free) manned cloakroom. ID checks may be carried out. Entry to the Aula will be on a first-come-first-served basis. The organisers reserve the right to deny access/entry to the Aula, and to move audience members to an overflow room.
